Firs time Blogging!

I was required to create a blog for one of my Social Work classes and this is my first time blogging. I will try to keep my posts interesting in relation to my Policy class. I'm not very political or knowledgeable enough to have any sort of political argument at the moment. My goal is to learn more about the policies out there and how they affect us all. Recently, with the GOP campaigning all over the country, I have heard them speak of policies that need to be changed or new policies to be created. None of which I know much about. I am, however, aware of the Occupy Wall Street movement taking place in different places in the country. I don't personally know anyone involved or have seen any of the protesters. I find it encouraging that people have demonstrated such passion for political issues that concern all of us. It also sends a clear message to our government official saying, "hey! we're down here! and we care!". I mostly feel that policies and reforms are constantly passed and very few citizens know much about these policies. I'm excited for the upcoming Florida Republican Presidential Primary. My overall excitement is due to my personal opinion of needing a huge change in our current Government.
